Alicia Asín – New Smart Cities perspective around applications and public management of infraestructure
On May 10, Alicia Asín, Libelium CEO, participated in El País RETINA 2016 in the panel “Smart Cities and the transformation of the public space”. The event, which took place in Madrid, is one of the most important forums about digital transformation: Ciudades inteligentes y la transformación del espacio público.
During her speech, Alicia Asín set three main categories to Smart Cities applications:
- Solutions to reduce the publlic bill and the costs related to public services (water, energy or lighting).
- Projects to optimize the collection of municipal taxes.
- Deployments to improve citizens lives’ and optimize the resources.
Alicia highlighted the ability of Libelium technology and its horizontal solutions that allow to offer capilarity and efficiency to councils through global solutions for any public management area (mobility, environment, waste management…).
Libelium CEO advocated for new management models of technological infraestructures in order to become in service sources for citizens that invigorate future companies. If data collected by public sensors networks are openned to citizens, we are favouring new management models to employ in the future people that arenowadays being educated .
