» 4G Networking Guide

This guide describes all features of the 4G module for the Waspmote sensor platform. We can make HTTP navigation, downloading and uploading content to a web server. We can also set secure connections using SSL certificates and setting TCP/IP private sockets. The FTP protocol is also available which is really useful when your application requires handling files. Then use a browser to load the PHP webpage which uses Googlemaps to show the location in realtime.

» LoRa Networking Guide

This guide describes all features of the Waspmote LoRa SX1272 module. LoRa is a private and spread-spectrum modulation technique which allows sending data at extremely low data-rates to extremely long ranges. Libelium's LoRa module works in both 868 and 900 MHz ISM bands, which makes it suitable for virtually any country.

The LoRa module and the LoRaWAN module are not compatible because the protocols are different. The LoRa module implements a simple link protocol, created by Libelium. However, the LoRaWAN module runs the LoRaWAN protocol, a much richer and more advanced protocol, created by the LoRa Alliance.

The LoRa Gateway provided by Libelium does not support any LoRa Alliance feature.
