Hi,
I have a problem with one of mine Xbee 802.15.4 modules (Others work fine). When I connect it to a Waspmote it wont work at all. I can't get any messages from it. I tried it with multiple Waspmotes and different programs. When I connect it to gateway and test it with X-CTU (Test / Query) following message appears:
Code:
Action Required
Unable to communicate with modem...
...XBEE
1. Press and release Reset Switch...

After I do as suggested, new message appears:
Code:
Communication with modem.. OK...

Now if I hit Retry button everything happens again so I assume there is some problem with this module. Can someone please help me with this?

Hi Primas,

Could you please check with different baud rates and AP configurations, in case there is a mismatch in your module?

Regards.

I tried it with different baud rates and if I set it to 9600, module passes the test. What happened to it and how can I fix this?

Regards!

Hi Primas,

that is the default factory configuration of the module, we usually receive it configured with our working parameters but sometimes this step may be skipped. You may change it using the X-CTU.

Regards.

I changed baud rate and now module passes the test but still isn't working connected to waspmote. Is there anything else I can do with it?

Hi Primas,

there are several parameters that should match to have the modules communicating, such as the network ID, channel, encryption...

Anyway, which code are you using to test them?

Regards.
