Hi,

I downloaded and adapted the following code(ZigbeeStorer), from the Meshlium part of the site, to help me capture Waspmote sensor frames on the PC connected to my Gateway.

http://www.libelium.com/development/mes ... sor-frames

However, I get the following error:

ERROR - Unable to parse received frame:

This occurs no matter whether I have a Waspmote sending frames or not.

Can anyone help me? I'm working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu 10.04.3) in a VirtualBox VM, running on a MacBook (OSX 10.5.8)

I thought this might be the easy part :D

Fab4,

What code are you using in Waspmote? Are you able to establish communication between Waspmote and PC? (Just opening a serial monitor and seeing received data).

If not, try using example codes.

Let us know before going further.

Best Regards.

Ah yes, I should have said. I am using the default 802.15.4 code, that sends the mac, XYZ, temp and battery values.

I can see this if I use the Serial Monitor from within the Waspmote IDE.

Fab4,

For this purpose we have Meshlium, please take a moment to review it, perhaps you find it interesting.

On the other hand, this postis also related with this task. Maybe you find interesting "Cutecom" software, which can save into a file data coming from a serial port. Then, you can phrase the file.

We provide Zigbee capturer as an example of how this should be done, but We are afraid because we can not support you for this issue.

You can post your code, maybe other readers can guide you of how you should proceed.

For any other issues please feel free to ask.

Best regards.

I managed to work out the problem after reading the Serial Programming Guide for POSIX. Using the ZigbeeStorer program works, as long as I turn on the Hardware flow control option on the the port. So:

opciones.c_cflag |= CRTSCTS (*could also be CNEW_RTSCTS)

I spoke too soon. I thought i had worked it out. If however i remove the gateway from my laptop, reconnect it and start my collection program again, then it doesnt work until I toggle the Hardware Flow Control. Very bizarre.

Dear Fab4,

Oh, it seems you will have to touch something..

as we said, we integrated the Storer for Meshlium (Linux/Voyage operating system). We do not know anything about POSIX, so we hope that someone in the Waspmote Community can help you.

Any progress you make, other users will be happy to read it on this thread.

Best regards
