Hi;

We ordered few pressure/weight sensors ,( ref. 9219 ) , we ordered two weeks ago, so we are expecting them to come earlier this week. my question is:
is it the Flexiforce PS-02 sensor? it is said in your document, that 203mm in length. can it be extended? for example, we put the pressure sensor on the desk, while we may want the sensor board in the other side of the room.

Hi jessie,

yes, we can supply the sensor with a longer wiring if you need it, you may contact commercial department and ask them for that when acquiring the sensor.

Regards.

would it be possible that we do the extension on the wire by ourselves? i mean does it require special wire that we can only order from you?
as we have ordered the sensors the week before, we are expecting them coming very soon, as if we order the wire now, it is going to take another two weeks to send to here (ireland), we are kind of in a tight schedule now, so it would be great, if we can that here.

Hi jessie,

OK, it is a very easy operation so I think there is no problem with welding the wire yourself if you have experience. If you don't want to take the risk to damage your sensor another option is to use a strip of 2.54mm pins to connect the sensor with the wires welded to them.

Regarding the wire we use, there is nothing special with it, but take into account that it will be a source of losses and magnetic noise, a too long cable may disturb the operation of the sensor.

Regards.

Hi Libelium-dev;

about the pressure/weight sensor with longer cable, we will probably order few of them, however, in your product catalogue, there is only one reference number (9219) , which can not tell whether it's longer cable or shorter, so, what's the Ref. number for the longer cable pressure sensor?
and how long can you supply? we probably need it with around 2m .

thanks
jessie

Hi jessie,

we do not have a specific reference for the sensor wih wiring, please indicate it to the sales department when placing the order. About the wire length, two meters is possible.

Regards.
