wangzy1026,

Did you test SD examples provided with IDE?

Try uploading code and then, if not still is not working, turn off Waspmote and re-insert SD card. Sometimes SD card could be wrong inserted. Then turn it On again and it should works.

Try this before going further.

Regards.

Hi libelium-dev,

Now, we want to do some experiments in the sky only using gas sensor with sd card storage, disconnecting the real-time USB wire or even XBEE communication. I want to know whehter my operation below is right or not.

Firstly, I start the the waspmote software to enable the sensor board to work by the USB wire between them, and meanwhile gas sensor monitoring create data on the sd card, then I withdrawal the USB wire between waspmote board and computer. I do not know whether the gas sensor monitoring can continue to work and the sd data creating can go on?

regars

wangzy1026,

To know state of your waspmote, you can use leds. For instance, you can blink one led while measuring and the other one while storing values into SD card.

We recommend you to start making a code which reads sensors and show right values by USB.
Then next step would be store this values into SD card, and finally send it by Xbee, but this is only a recommendation, we do not know your final application.

Feel free to ask any questions. We would be happy to answer you.

Regards.

Hi libelium-dev,

Firstly, thanks for your timely answers very much .

Moreover, due to our sd card is still not to work correctly now, so we just want to get the gas sensor measurement data directly sent to our computer fixed on the ground via XBEE communication, rather than indirectly firstly stored on sd card and then sent to our computer.

libelium-dev, do you think how we should do only to realize our test?

Best regards

wangzy

wangzy1026,

We have given you some tips about SD card in yor GPS post.

About your question, You can manage data in your preferred way, save in in a variable and then send through Xbee, make some operations, etc.

Best Regards.
