Hi to all,

I'm a new user of waspmote platform and I'm trying to learn its aspects.
My development skills are around of JAVA and I would ask you (all Waspmote experts) a question about the combination of JAVA & Waspmote.

More specifically, I would like to create an application in JAVA that will be used in order to read the data that will be sent to the Gateway (which is connected with my laptop). So, I wonder if I have the ability so as to read the sensor values (A temperature sensor & A humidity sensor) and then to store these values, using java code, in a Local Database.

Could you please inform me if there is somebody who have similar expirience?

Thank you in advance,
mmkdim

mmkdim,

There are some posts in this forum related with your issue (you can find more using search tab).

However, our support ends when data arrives to the PC. Information parsing is your task, we only provide an interface to carry out this.

You can use any serial monitor you prefer to manage serial port where Waspmote/gateway is connected and then parse received data in your preferred way.

maybe other readers can help you about this.

Kind Regards

I'm using RXTX library and reading / writing works perfectly. If you want I can show you the code.

Dear users,

We released the Waspmote Out Of the Box Demo App, which can help you to get data in your PC, parse it and plot it:
