Is there a simple method for sending addressed data to a Waspmote (XbeeZB) from a PC using a serial terminal? The simplest example being using the serial monitor in the IDE and typing in a command that can then be sent to an individually addressed Xbee module?

What I want to do is to have 5 Waspmotes (Xbee) connected to a PC via an Xbee gateway (serial over USB COM port) and then have 2 way communication between the PC and individual nodes (one at a time).

I can receive data (to the PC) from Waspmotes using the xbeeZB.send() function but I can't work out how to send data back from the PC to the individual nodes.

Seye,

There are some posts talking about how to parse gateway information and send data back to Wasp. Please use search tab.

If you want to send frames from PC to Waspmote you will have to build packets according with API structure defined in the Zigbee programming guide.

Besides that, Digi provides an API frame maker which may be useful for you.

Best Regards
