I assume you have a 2GB SD card for the waspmote right?

Anyway, sometimes after initializing the SD card OTAP worked. so try the code which I used in the video but add the following in void setup():

Code:
 SD.ON();

thanks for your help AmroQuandour
SD.ON(); made the trick!
this enabled me to make a successful upload to a node
I tried to start the program and it did not work though (some start error I dont know) so i gave up on that day..

right now after a few days I said I will do my last try to fix this!
I am scanning the network and can find no nodes again, and then I notice that ota scanning breaks my network.. this happened twice today.. after scanning, the routers disappear from the network... only end devices remain

I had to reload them with the firmware to see the routers again.. probably it is an XBee thing, I dont know..

I give up on this thing, it is too buggy.. it just doesn't like me :)

thanks again

ok now try without SD.ON(); and upload the firmware again and see if it works...

sometimes the node breaks when it is flashed with the new image. so try a simple program and see if it works and then move to bigger programs if it worked.

right now they break when doing discovery (scan_nodes)..

must be something to do with the xbee modules

Can you give more details about the error? (configuration of nodes, API version, shell log...)

I have got a coordinator on the gateway, 2 router waspmotes and 3 end device waspmotes

I can see all devices in the network (either by X-CTU or I can see the packets coming)
if I do a scan_nodes from ota shell, it does not find anything

suddenly routers are kicked off from the network and I can see only the 3 end devices
resetting the nodes doesn't help, I have to install the xbee into an end device firmware mote (to get configured as end device) and then back to the original waspmote as a router.. then it is ok

at first I thought that the coordinator gets stuck after scanning but I cannot be sure of it

the API is waspmote-api-v.019
I used to be able to find nodes and upload programs but not with this network configuration.. I didnt have a problem using this network for days until yesterday twice when I did this network scan

You can do a trial with only one router and one end device, and if it works increment the number of elements on the network to see where it fails.
