Hi

Can LibeliumDev please detail the step by step instructions for sending new data from sensors to the Meshlium.

I have two Waspmotes with factory standard programs and one Meshlium also factory standard. The Meshlium can read the default data from both Waspmotes via 802.15.4 radio. Default data being:
MAC address (64b), the acceleration in the three axis (x, y, z) , the temperature and the battery level.

What I want to know is how to send new frames, as I have some agricultural sensors to configure.

I have read your document 'Capturing and storing new sensor frames' but to be honest it is still not clear to me. Are the example files (zigbeeStorer.h, zigbeeStorer.c) provided the ones i need to edit for 802.15.4? How do I edit these? Do I also need to edit the MeshliumDB to add in columns for new data with the frame?

Can you please provide me with some support detailed at someone who has very limited experience with Linux systems and commands.

Thanks

Richard

Okay so I've opened up zigbeeStorer.h, zigbeeStorer.c in the IDE.

Could someone tell me what changes i would need to make in order to append the data "wind_speed" to the default data in the frame.

After modifying these files I need to compile on Meshlium, is this correct? With this command:

#gcc -o zigbeeStorer -I/usr/include/mysql zigbeeStorer.c -L/usr/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient -Wall.

Do I need to stop the daemon before I execute the above command?

Do I then need to make changes the MySQL database schema? I can't find any reference to this in the documentation.

Please help.

Thanks

I'd really appreciate a little help from Libelium support. If I'm missing something that is already documented then I apologize, but please point me to the details.

Thanks

Dear RichD,
You need to modify the zigbeeStorer.c to parse new data frames, compile it, stop the factory storer daemon, replace it and start the new (modified by you) storer daemon.

If you have any problem with source code or compiling please tell and we will try to help you.
