hi,

i'm new to waspmotes.
i want to connect an external sensor- triaxial accelerometer and sample it at 2500 Hz continously.

Please inform how can I configure analog port to sample the data at desired rates.

Hi wsnuser,

the maximum rate that you may get will depend on the complexity of the program you need (if you are storing the values in the SD card or the EEPROM, transmitting them through the XBee, performing aside tasks, etc. this rate will be decreased).

I can tell you that the maximum data rate we have got when reading an analog input and storing its value in the SD is above 5KHz.

Regards.

Sir,

I want to sample three analog channels and transmit it to Meshlium for onward transmission through GPRS and storing in local database.

What is the maximum sampling rate/channel I'll be able to achieve.

Hi wsnuser,

we have not tested the sample rate in an application like that, but if you have to read three channels and send them via ZigBee I don't think you can reach those 2500 Hz.

Regards.
