Host PC communictaion with Gateway (USB) Waspmote?

Hi,

Our company is interested in Waspmote but before we buy some, we'd like to know what is possible with them.

One thing we would like to do is be able to send commands to a Gateway Waspmote which is connected to a PC via USB. Is this possible?

Alternatively we would like OTA software updates of the motes in a network to be under the control of a program running on the Gateway host PC. I have seen the video of OTA being performed by shell commands...is there anything that would restrict these shell commands being automated?

Hello Fab4,

Yes, you can send AT commands to the Gateway which is connected to a PC.

We have never done an experiment to automatize the OTA process, but we believe it is possible. You could do a script that writes the commands that you like in the OTA shell, in an automatic way. You can download our software for Waspmote and for OTA and check it.
