Amro suggestion can help you to investigate the error. Have you tested otap from a other computers?

hello, I have the same problem..

I scan for nodes and I get 0 nodes
I uploaded the basic program for OTA as suggested in your documentation
I change port to COM3 (where my gateway is) and the key is the same (LIBELIUM)

I tried all suggestions in this thread,
I am now even trying to run OTAP in Ubuntu but I cannot find the otap.tar.gz file anywhere.. there is only the windows zip file in the website..

any help?

I don't understand the channel?
According to the manual for 868Mhz there is only one choice for a channel (0x01). But this cannot be configured for otap as it must be between 0x0B-0x1A.
So whats the channel supposed to be for 868Mhz?

I will try on a linux have only tried on Win7 and MacOSX, dont think it will be any more successful.

You can download the OTA shell program for all platforms from the Waspmote development section, actually version v0.1-b61, and it's valid for all platforms.

In 868Mhz configuration the channel parameter in the xbee.conf is discarded. What's the configuration of your xbees?

As the thread name suggests its 868Mhz.
So since the channel is discarded it cannot be the reason. Also beta0.61 doesn't work either and I dont know what to do now.
The config is right the nodes get something and seem to answer. I dont know what else to do.

I've uploaded a video on youtube on the operation of OTAP. See if it helps.

Hello everyone,

Schweizer did you solve your problem? I am facing the same problem here with xbee802.15.4

I can't find any mote through the -scan_nodes option under WIN7 x64 and I even tried under Ubuntu 10.04

I have uploaded in my motes the OTA Example: 802.15.4 Set up

I see that when the gateway tries to send the packet in BROADCAST mode, the RSSI leds get on for 3-4 seconds, but nothing is shown on the terminal. I tried even 30 seconds of scanning.
