Smart Water Ion Pro - Calibration Procedure

Post by michellefitz » Tue Jan 22, 2019 2:04 pm

Hi,

I am using the following example code http://www.libelium.com/development/was ... r-reading/ to calibrate smart water ion pro nitrate. I have the Multi-ion calibration kit which has 3 solutions, labeled Std.1 ( NO3 132), std2 ( NO3 660), std3. ( NO3 1320)

Following the calibration process can you confirm the what values I use for the calibration concentrations solutions as per the example - do they remain as follows:

// Calibration concentrations solutions used in the process
#define point1 10.0
#define point2 100.0
#define point3 1000.0

// Calibration Voltage values
#define point1_volt_NO3 3.080
#define point2_volt_NO3 2.900
#define point3_volt_NO3 2.671

Thanks,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

After calibration process you have to set the points used for calibration and the values obtained

// Calibration concentrations solutions used in the process
#define point1 132.0
#define point2 660.0
#define point3 1320.0

// Calibration Voltage values
#define point1_volt_NO3 xxxx //value obtained in point1
#define point2_volt_NO3 xxxx //value obtained in point2
#define point3_volt_NO3 xxxx //value obtained in point3

Hope this helps

Thanks for clarifying regarding the points used for calibration and the values obtained.

One other question is have is in relation to the reference probe and which socket it should be connected to along with the Nitrate probe.

Thanks

Its ok, I see where these are to be connected from the user manual.

A, B, C or D -------> Nitrate Ion (NO3-) [PRO] 9421 / Nitrite Ion (NO2-) [PRO] 9422
E -------> Reference Sensor Probe [PRO] 9410 (included by default)

Thanks,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Yes, that configuration is correct. You can connect any ion sensor to socket A, B, C or D, the reference sensor must be connected to socket E and if you have temperature sensor, it have to be connected to socket F. Remember to configure the socket used in the code

Code: Select all

ionSensorClass NO3Sensor(SOCKET_A);
