LoRa Module - use case for Max Allowed Current supply

Hello,

can you provide a use case / reason for enabling the maxcurrent (Over Current Protection - OCP) in the SX1272 module?

This is unclear in the docs/example.

Thanks - as mentioned:

This example shows how to set the maximum Over Current
* Protection (OCP) level. By default, the OCP is disabled. This example
* also permits to get the OCP current value in mA units


my question is why setting this up? What is the purpose?
do you have a use case?

You are right, it isn't described in our documentation, you can take a look to the SX1272 datasheet, on page 85 it is explained the over current protection:
