Sending Retries

Hi Libelium,

I just had a quick question. Does the "setSendingRetries" function change the "Unicast Retries" parameter on the XBee modules as an AT command? We've noticed with one of our sensor nodes that the battery has been draining quicker than it was in our lab testing. This specific node has a lot more obstructions in its path to the gateway compared to our other nodes. So we were curious if even though we set the sending retries to 0 in our code if it would still be possible that the XBee radio itself could be retrying transmission and thus causing more power consumption?

Regards,
Robert

Hi,

setSendingRetries function doesn't send an at command. This function save the number of retries in a variable. Then the send function has a while loop that send a packet until reach a successful transmission or reach the specified number of retries.

Hope this solve your doubt.
