Thingspeak with Waspmote

Post by Rafacomu » Thu Mar 10, 2016 12:10 am

Does somebody know how to connect a waspmote to Thingspeak?

In Arduino it use a code like this:

void updateThingSpeak(String tsData) {
  if (client.connect(thingSpeakAddress, 80)) {
    client.print("POST /update HTTP/1.1\n");
    client.print("Host: api.thingspeak.com\n");
    client.print("Connection: close\n");
    client.print("X-THINGSPEAKAPIKEY: " + APIKey + "\n");
    client.print("Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\n");
    client.print("Content-Length: ");
    client.print(tsData.length());
    client.print("\n\n");
    client.print(tsData);
    lastConnectionTime = millis();

    if (client.connected()) {
      Serial.println("Connecting to ThingSpeak...");
      Serial.println();
    }

But I don´t know what is the Libelium equivalent for this code.

Can you help me?

Best regards

Hi Rafacomu,

Which communication device do you have at your waspmote?

Sorry but we have no experience uploading data to Thingspeak. You can check our wifi examples to compound your own code. Also take a look to the wifi networking guide.

I realize this is an old thread, but there is a ThingSpeak Cloud Connector in the Meshlium now. Details are available in the Meshlium user manual and here.
