We have purchased the new Meshlium that is supossed to keep the date meanwhile the device is power off. But we have checked that the date is loose when we switch off the Meshlium.

So, please, confirm that the Meshlium have the possibility to keep the date and what are the steps in order to make it possible.

Hello.

You can determine the date of system with the command

Code: Select all

date
And the mother board time with the command

Code: Select all

hwclock
Is possible that system time and hwclock time have different time values because of ntp sinchronizations made by system.

You can set the system date to mother board date using this command

Code: Select all

hwclock --systohc
Or you can set mother board time to system using command

Code: Select all

hwclock --hctosys
Is possible, but really difficult that the mother board time battery gets discharged due to a long time of inactivity.

If you suspect that your battery may be discharged you should open a technical report on http://www.libelium.com/support/technicalservice

We have no NTPS syncronization selected in Meshlium Manager.

We have followed your instructions to set the mother board time to system time.
It works ok, but whe we turn off the Meshlium a few minutes and the turn on it the mother board time gets bad another time: Sat Jan 1 00:02:42 2000 -0.197312 second

it seems that the battery is discharged.

Please let us know how to proceed to solve this problem.

We have purchased another meshlium which has arrived today and it happens the same failure with the date.

We have followed the steps you have said and the result is the same.

It seems there is a problem with this or we are overlooking something.

Please let us know a solution.

An RMA has been provided already.

We will study the problem as soon as the meshliums arrives to libelium.

Best regards.
