Removing sensors from a waspmote board

Post by FIU Grad » Mon May 27, 2019 10:25 pm

Hello,

How do I remove the sensors from the board? like a the water mark , soil temp etc ? I am using a waspmote v12 and agriculture pro v13?
I want to remove them without compromising any damage to the board and the sensor itself ?

Thanks,

Hi FIU Grad,

Do you mean disconnecting physically from the PTSM sensor board?

In that case, you should push with a flat screwdriver in the indicated place,

Can you show me on the actual picture of PTSM please ? I am not understanding the diagram or it is not working for me.

Hi,

The PTSM is the black connector on the board edge. The round hole is for the wire, while the square hole is for a screwdriver, for instance.

Take a look at this video with a similar connector.

Around minute 1.50 it is shown how to remove the wire with a small screwdriver.

I have another question. The JST female connector is destroyed. Can you give me the spacing and specs to get it ? I don't think it is wise to buy a whole battery to fix such issue.
Thanks,

Hi,

You can try to find the part number of the component by yourself or purchase a new battery.

Apologies for the inconvenience but it is company policy.
