9247-p temperature and humidity sensor

Post by jak003 » Mon Sep 16, 2019 10:31 am

Dear Libelium members,

I have a Waspmote Smart Agriculture v12 with a 9247-P temperature and humidity probe.
I am wondering what kind of code I should write to get the right temperature and humidity values?
I tried the code for normal temperature readings:
temperature = SensorAgrv20.readValue(SENS_AGR_TEMPERATURE);
For Smart Cities sensor:
temperature = SensorCities.readValue(SENS_CITIES_TEMPERATURE);
And for a sensirion sensor:
temperature = SensorAgrv20.readValue(SENS_AGR_SENSIRION, SENSIRION_TEMP);

None of the above gave me a reliable temperature reading.
So my first question is: Can I use the 9247-P probe with the Waspmote Smart Agriculture v12?
And if so: What code should I use to get a reliable sensor reading?

Looking forward to your response.

Kind regards,
Tim

Hi,

Which output do you get using that function? Which socket do you attach the sensor?

You should use the next example code with the Agriculture board to read that sensor,
http://www.libelium.com/v12/development ... r-reading/

Also, you can find all documentation and examples related to the old v12 technology in the next link,
http://www.libelium.com/v12/development/

The old Smart Cities board it's not compatible with Sensirion sensor.

Hello,

When I try your code I got temperature values of -39.7099990 and humidity values of -2.083501.
The sensor that is supposed to measure the temperature and humidity is the 9247-P. In the document they are only talking about the probe with number 9247. That gives me a bit the feeling I am measuring with the wrong probe.

To summarize:
I attached the probe to socket A of my Smart Agriculture v12. When I try the code as you mentioned I got above values.
I am wondering for which P&S the 9247-P is developed.

Looking forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Tim

Hi,

9247-P and 9247 is the same sensor. The guide shows the reference of the sensors without the -P but they are the same.

What API version are you using to upload the code? Do you have another 9247-P sensor to check if the problem is related to the socket or the sensor?

Hello,

I don't have a different probe to test.
I did test it on a different Smart Agriculture, but it gave me the same values.
So indeed it could be the probe..

I am using API version 023.
