How to? Setup shared dev, build environment, repo etc

Post by Brad » Wed Nov 13, 2019 6:39 am

Hi,
I'm looking to set up for a shared team of developers to create and support waspmote, plug and sense suite of products. It seems like there is nothing documented about how to do this. It seems like this product stacks on top of Arduino. If we were using Arduino, via repo and submodules etc we can obtain arduino-cli and build everything automatically without installing and compiling via Arduino IDE.

I see that Libelium is closing Cooking Hacks to better focus on professional IoT ( http://www.libelium.com/libelium-focuse ... ing-hacks/ ) so it seems like this is a necessary direction / solution.

I'm new here, if this can be done, please guide me on existing best practice. If not - is there a road map for this to be supported? (or a place I can suggest it and the community see if thats a popular request?)

thanks in advance

Hi,

We recommend using the Waspmote IDE to compile the codes and upload them to Waspmote or P&S since we have found problems using other compilers causing the corruption of the bootloader. You can download the Waspmote IDE from the next link

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any doubt.

The Arduino team has been working hard to support the needs of our professional developer community. Many of you requested a way to use our tools in Makefiles, and wanted Arduino IDE features available via a fast, clean command line interface.

Hi,

We are sorry but we haven't tried those features. We haven't integrated CLI with Wapsmote IDE.
