Question on meshlium 4 Time stamp

Post by cjffly » Wed Oct 18, 2017 3:08 am

Hi,

I am confused on the time stamp setting in meshlium 4. Under the web manager system, system->Time synchronization, I set up my time zone locally (America/Chicago, UTC-5 hours) (https://imgur.com/PHfdjO3). So under the Sensor Networks tab, all my Nodes' Last update time will be the correct local time. And in database(Sensor Network->Capturer), all the sensor data timestamp is the local time (America/Chicago, UTC-5 hours). (https://imgur.com/MXvVDSu)

However, when I click the Sensor Network->Logs, the timestamp becomes UTC time. (https://imgur.com/BFuD1yj)

So my question is this a bug? how can I make sure all the timestamp are the same?

Hi cjffly,

You shoud restart your Meshlium to apply change for time/date, please set your timestamp again and restart. After that the data will store the current timestamp in the database.

Please let us know yoru toughts.

I did restart after changing the time zone, I mean, the time in the database is correct.

My problem is the time show in logs are different

here is my sensor log :2017-10-18 21:25:22.641 - ASCII-792B3F057C105444-Ag_1-134-101-,MAC:416A5CC1,ACC:-282;-41;974,BAT:71
here is my database :
2478 2017-10-18 16:25:22 0 Ag_1 792B3F057C105444 134 101 BAT 71
2477 2017-10-18 16:25:22 0 Ag_1 792B3F057C105444 134 101 ACC -282;-41;974
2476 2017-10-18 16:25:22 0 Ag_1 792B3F057C105444 134 101 MAC 416A5CC1

any solution?

Hi cjffly,

The values coming from the Waspmotes are stored in the Meshlium using the UTC time. The Sensor Logs use a conversion to your local time for displaying the values.

Got it...

Is there any way to change the time sent by waspmote from UTC to a local one in the log? I notice there is a function to the RTC time for waspmote from meshlium, like "error = xbee802.setRTCfromMeshlium(meshlium_ADDRESS);", does this work?

Best

Hi,

You can set the RTC of Waspmote from Meshlium with that function. Here you can see the example to do that
