Meshlium Unresponsive, No Power?

Post by williambrum » Mon Mar 11, 2019 5:49 pm

We received a new Meshlium device recently. After an initial startup our device appears to not power on.

The device worked out of the box without issue (on test bench). No configuration changes were made, and the device was shutdown successfully though the management console.

The device was moved to a new location (another test bench) and now appears to not power on (no beep or other indication of power, the wifi-ap was active in the initial configuration and is not broadcasting, device not available over ethernet). Power outlets, the provided cables and power adapter were tested and verified to be working. We are unable to verify the PoE injector. Only the provided power/PoE equipment was used.

What should be the next steps for the troubleshooting the device?

Is there a way to test for power on the device other than the system beep? Should a comparable PoE Injector be tested? Something else?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I was able to verify that the PoE Injector is suppling power, problem appears to be with the Meshlium itself.

Hi,

Did Meshlium work in the new location at some point?

What is the serial ID of Meshlium?

Regards

The device serial number is 18337140631524.

The Meshlium did power on at the new location initially. It was to be configured here (location of our ethernet switch) but a correct configuration was not determined before end of day and the device was powered off though the management console with no changes made. The device was then unplugged and set aside.

When we attempted to power on the Meshlium later, the device was unresponsive.

Also, the new location is just down the hall from first in the same building. The device has not been mounted.

Hi,

It is a weird issue, please try to perform the rescue process to recover Meshlium to default settings. You can find the process in the Meshlium technical guide
http://www.libelium.com/downloads/docum ... f#page=254

Let us know if Meshlium starts to work.
Regards
