MQTT integration question

Post by MaticS » Wed May 08, 2019 11:11 am

Hi! Following the 13.3.21 section (MQTT integration) of Meshlium Technical Guide manual, there is something unclear to us.

The message template can include #SENSOR# and #VALUE# fields. However, each time when Waspmote reports to Meshlium, it sends a frame with multiple multiple values from multiple sensors.

Do we understand correctly that Meshlium will then, through the integration, only send PER MESSAGE one single sensor, and one single value - therefore it will create 3 MQTT messages out of that?

Therefore, if node reports with a frame that contains:
1) air temprature,
2) air humidity, and
3) air pressure

then Meshlium will send at the time of receiving this frame, 3 new MQTT messages to the MQTT broker, one for each of the 3 variables?

Could you please confirm? Or, alternatively, is there a way to bundle all data from the same Waspmote frame into a single MQTT message?

Thank you, best regards...

Hi,

No, it isn't possible to send several sensors in a message. It can send only a sensor per message.

Also we recommend creating a topic per sensor as follow. So data of each sensor will be sent to the topic sensor.
#MESHLIUM#/#ID_WASP#/#SENSOR#
