Sensors consumption

Post by martajg19 » Wed Jun 12, 2019 1:56 pm

Hi, I would like to know what is the consumption (Watts) for the noise sensor and for a City Plug&Sense with 2 probes approximately (I understand it may vary depending on the transmission frequency and on the number of probes). But just an aprox numer of watts.

Thank you

Hi,

The noise sensor is powered externally, so it doesn't consume mA from the P&S.

We can't estimate the power consumption since it depends on the radio modules, sensors, time reading and sending data, etc. You will need to perform field tests to know it. In addition, you can check the technical guides to know the power consumption of sensors, radios, sensors boards and Waspmote.

Cities PRO sensors: http://www.libelium.com/downloads/docum ... df#page=94
Waspmote and some radio modules (check the guide for each radio for more information): http://www.libelium.com/downloads/docum ... f#page=120

Hope this helps.

OK. Thankyou!
But can we say that it consumes less than the Meshlium (15W)?

Yes, it will consume less than 15W for sure.
