Error in sendPacketTimeoutACK

Post by marioemanuel » Mon Jan 21, 2019 1:16 pm

Hi.

I have a waspmote with a smart parking board v12. It communicates through LoRa.

In my desk, where meshlium is near to waspmote , when I use the function sx1272.sendPacketTimeoutACK(meshlium_address, frame.buffer, frame.length) it works well. I can see the frames (parking status Or battery percentage) in the Manager System > Capturer.
But when I go outside, lets say, at least 50 meters away from meshlium, when it sends the frames I receive a message though USB: "Error sending the frame" . Also the error state is 9.

My waspmote is configured with LoRa mode 7 and meshlium has the same configuration.

Do you know what is the problem? What can I do?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Did you connect the antennas to the devices?

Did you configure the output power to high?

Also please try to set mode 1 which provides maximum range.

Hi,

Answering the questions:
Did you connect the antennas to the devices?
yes

Did you configure the output power to high?
yes

I will change to mode 1. Do I have to worry about max time that it would take to send the data? It means, Do I need to configure this max time in order not to give an error?

Hi,

Yes, you should increase the timeout. You can set the timeout according to the configured mode using setTimeout() function.

Hi.

I already changed to mode 1 and I increased timeout.
As I said in last posts, when I go outside, lets say, at least 50 meters away from meshlium and the following requirements are met:
Scenario 1:
- there is a bulding between waspmote and meshlium
- smart parking is a few centimeters above ground level
- there are no cars near when it is calibrated
Result: frames (battery and parking status) are sent and received by meshlium (I can see in Manager System)

but...when I go outside, lets say, at least 50 meters away from meshlium and the following requirements are met:

Scenario 2:
- there is a bulding between waspmote and meshlium
- smart parking is underground, close to the surface, as described in the installation manual
- there are cars 1.5 meters near the sensor when it is calibrated
Result: frames (battery and parking status) are NOT sent (I can't see in Manager System)
The error is state 9, as you can see in the next image.

I can't understand what's the problem....

Hi,

Did you change the configuration in Meshlium?

Also please try to use another frequencies, maybe there are interference in the frequency used.

Hi,

Yes, Meshlium is also configured with mode 1.

Currently I'm using CH_12_868 (865.80 MHz). I will try to use CH_16_868 (867 MHz).
I will give feedback next week.

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for waiting a long time for my answer.
I tested several frequencies: CH_16_868, CH_15_868, CH_17_868 and CH_10_868. Using CH_16_868 sometimes I got success but most of the time not. In all tests with the other frequencies I got the error state 9.

What do you suggest? Can I show you my code?

Best Regards,
