Smart Parking Node is not working

Post by newtonx » Wed Apr 03, 2019 9:48 am

Hello,

I have Smart Parking Evaluator Kit (Sigfox + LoRAWAN) I have tried to update the firmware to 3.0.2 Australia and I have also registered on TTN with my Dragino LG02 I have done everything according to Docos but no packets from nodes to the gateway.

What am I missing? My gateway is configured for Radio 1 915MHZ and Radio 2 915MHZ can someone guide me on how to properly configure or why the node is not sending packets?

Hi,

Did you reset the node with the magnet after programming it?

The parking node is programed to use the first eight channels, from channel 0 (915200000 Hz) to channel 7 (916600000 Hz). You can find here more information about LoRaWAN channels.

Please try to configure the gateway according to this setting and let us know if the problem is solved.

Yes, I tried to reset many time as soon I take the magnet and over it shows me red LED on for 1sec or 2sec and then green Led turns on for 1sec and close.

I have configured the radio Hz with SF7 but no packets, Only once happened I tried to over the magnet fast for more than 2 or 3 sec and then I got something see below is the RX I got and after that I never get anything. Will it send any packets after reset or is there any way to make node change its slot and send the packet? In house

Hi,

When you reset the node, it send the two start frames and the rssi frames (if that feature is enabled), so you will see packet a seconds after reset.

We are sorry but It seems a issue configuring your base-station an we don't have experience working with it. It the bas-station listening packets in the 8 channels at the same time? The node can send data though any of the channel, not only the first.

Gateway I have only 2 channels and I have made both of them listen only. How I can make the node to send the change status packet without a car?. Also, I find it only send some packets when I used ABP but never works on OTAA.

Do I really need to buy 8 channels gateway?

Hi,

We think that it's not possible to join via OTAA using a gateway with only 2 channels since there is an interchange of keys between the gateway and the node and they are sent through 3 different channels. It's part of the LoRaWAN protocol.

Using ABP the node could communicate with the gateway but there will be a lot of packets lost since the node will send packets thorough 8 channels and the gateway only is listening in 2 channels.

You can simulate a car using a metallic piece or a magnet.
