Radar Threshold Settings

Hi,

I'm testing low profile cars, which means it could be 20cm or a bit less above the sensor, how can I improve the radar settings in that scenario?

Hi,

We recommend setting the radar range start value to 20cm and the range length to 50cm. We think that the cars will be detected although they have a low profile since the rest of the car will be in the range of the sensor.

I wonder how does the radar threshold setting changes would impact the sensor's detection.

Hi,

The threshold is related to the amplitude of the reflections given by the radar sensor. For example, when an object produces a reflexion greater than the threshold, the node sends an occupied state. We don't recommend to decrease the threshold since it could cause false detections but you can try to increase it since the amplitude of the reflections caused by cars are much higher than the default threshold.
