Hi,

Thanks for replying.

Could you please tell me what's the temperature in Celsius and/or Fahrenheit, just to check if my calculation is wrong.

Thanks

Hi,

22 (hex) is 34º (dec, signed integer).

Thank You.

I have been having issues with high temperatures on different sensors, for example: I have placed 10 sensors in a Parking lot outdoor, let's say from Sensor1 to Sensor10 at 15:00 (Weather: 83 Fahrenheit) shows the following temperature:

Sensor8 - 145 Fahrenheit

Sensor2 - 143 Fahrenheit

Sensor4 - 134 Fahrenheit

Sensor6 - 113 Fahrenheit

Sensor10 - 102 Fahrenheit

Sensor7 - 100 Fahrenheit

Sensor5 - 98 Fahrenheit

Sensor1 - 93 Fahrenheit

Sensor9 - 91 Fahrenheit

Sensor3 - 89 Fahrenheit

All sensors are placed under no tree and no shades from any tree or building nearby, and all of them have the same configuration and same firmware version, I think all 10 sensors should have the same temperature as well as that if the outdoor weather is 83 Fahrenheit why some sensors are reaching up to 145 Fahrenheit. Are the sensors faulty?

Please, let me know.

Thanks!

Hi,

Those values seem correct. Keep in mind that it is the internal temperature of the node. It will be higher than the temperature in the environment since the nodes are heated internally. That values can't be used to estimate the temperature in the environment.

Hi,

I understand that environment temp is higher than the sensor temp, but all 10 sensors should have the same or similar temperature, as you can see in my previous message some sensors are from 89 to 100 Fahrenheit and others sensors are reaching up to 145 Fahrenheit. Are the high temperature sensors faulty?

As per the Smart Parking Sensor Technical Guide the temperature Threshold is -20 to +65 °C which is -4 to +149 Fahrenheit. So, we are reaching the maximum temp threshold.

By the way, another testing we have done is try to open the sensor and see if the temperature is that high (145 Fahrenheit), but is not as hot as shown from data frames.

We look forward to solve this issue.

Thank You.

Hi,

We don't think that the sensors are faulty. It is the internal temperature of the sensor. We have seen temperature values higher than 65º when the sun shins directly to the nodes.

When we did the temperature tests to know the working range, we monitored the temperature of the climatic chamber, not the internal temperature. Surely the internal temperature was higher.
