Alicia Asín, Libelium CEO, received the recognition for the company internationalization, that exports 90% of the invoicing, in an event celebrated on 29 November at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid.
Libelium has been recognized with CEPYME 2016 Award at International Development category for its impact outside Spain and the wide foreign activity in more than 120 countries. The Aragonese company, that operates in the Internet of Things and Smart Cities sector, exports 90% of its production.
Alicia Asín, Libelium CEO, expressed her gratitude to the organization that recognized the trajectory of the company: “It is a proud to be awarded specially this year when we celebrate a decade strengthen our position in the Internet of Things market”.

The Awards Gala took place at Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid with the presence of Antonio Garamendi, CEPYME president, and the recently invested as the Government president, Mariano Rajoy. He highlighted during his speech the activity of Libelium “to conquer new borders to access remote markets”.
More than 10.000 customers from 120 counties, ranging from startups to large international corporations, have deployed Libelium’s technology for projects in the five continents. Currently, the company has a dealer network with 33 distributors and also 33 worldwide partners. Alicia Asín affirmed that “the recognition supposes a boost for Libelium work in its continuous international vocation”.
Libelium has maintained an exponential growth during the last five years increasing 20% the year-on-year invoicing. The company has a workforce with more than 70 people, 30% more than in 2015. “Our expectation is to continue growing and opening new markets: that is why this year we have invest in internationalization 1.8 million Euro”, stated Alicia Asín.
