Live IoT: Visit to Huesca

Libelium offers a guided tour of the historic centre of Huesca. Participate in a cultural gymkhana through a tour full of artistic treasures while discovering the technology that Libelium has deployed in this city.

With more than 50,000 inhabitants, Huesca is a dynamic and modern city, enclosed in the center of one of the richest cities from the point of view of nature and landscapes.

Huesca, in its long history, has its own particular treasures which are reflected in its streets, its archaeological sites, its monuments and its heritage in general. Originally known as the Iberian town of Bolskan, it was centred on what is now “El Casco Antiguo” (the old quarter) and it was famed for its mint whose coins depicted the horseman whose figure remains at present on the shield of the city.

The journey will finish with a cocktail dinner at the Huesca Museum. Located in what was the old Sertorian University which was founded by Pedro IV in 1354 and was once the residence of the Kings of Aragon. This beautiful old Palace houses some very important and ancient artifacts which were excavated and discovered in the province of Huesca as well as some very interesting examples of Aragonese art including some works by the painter Goya.
