A SAFER ENVIRONMENT
It is possible to deploy a wireless sensor network for surveillance through the ZigBee protocol anywhere. Waspmote can detect potential intruders and coordinate and send the relevant alarms through infrared, ultrasound, vibration or pressure sensors, etc. Other applications include the user of magnetic field sensors to detect the state of doors and windows (open or closed) and thus detect unsafe areas in a building.
Useful to prevent robberies, vandalism and other unwanted situations in combination with other security systems such as surveillance cameras.
HELP IN EMERGENCIES
In emergency situations every second counts. Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET) help to reduce action times and facilitate decision-making in these circumstances.
In the event of natural catastrophes such as floods, hurricanes or earthquakes, one of the main problems is the loss of communication due to damage to infrastructures. With Meshlium, communications can be restored faster since the wireless connections (WIFI 2.4HGHz and 5GHz) are established automatically through the mesh protocols (mesh networks), without having to configure the equipment previously. The routers can even be powered through car lighters if there is no access to the power grid.
Road information points
Including Meshlium in emergency vehicles (ambulances, police cars, and fire brigade) makes an Internet connection available anywhere. The cars can be located at all times thanks to the Meshlium GPS and GPRS modules. Plus one of the vehicles can act as warning point and send messages to alert the rest of the convoy, to prevent accidents or inform of the state of the roads and thus be able to divert traffic to safe areas.
