Who and for whom
Libelium designs and manufactures hardware technology for the implementation of wireless sensor networks so that system integrators, engineering and consultancy companies can implement reliable Smart Cities solutions to end users within the minimun time to market.
What and how
All our products are modular, horizontal and fast-learning and include extensive documentation and support through a Community of developers. Our main lines of research and development are:
- Waspmote: low consumption sensor device for the creation of wireless sensor networks that integrates more than 50 different sensors.
- Meshlium: the only multi-tech router integrating Wifi mesh (2.4GHz - 5GHz), ZigBee, GPRS, GPS and Bluetooth technologies in a single unit.
We also offer training and consultancy services to help our customers optimizing their resources as well as hardware customization services to deliver always the most cost-effective solution.
Awards and achievements
Since its origin in 2006 as a Spin Off company from the University of Zaragoza, Libelium has been recognized as an innovator company by several institutions within the Spanish Government. Our technology is present in more than 45 countries worldwide.
We currently head the work group RedSens in the context of the work of the Association of Electronics and ICT Companies of Spain, formed by the leading companies in the electronics and ICT sector. We are also founders and members of the Spanish Innovation Association INNEO.
We have received a number of awards for our entrepreneurial activity and our innovative developments, some of them in the most important sector events:
